Beau Stanley PledgePage
Our 17 month old grandson Hugh Parham Stanley, III better known as Beau was diagnosed with neuroblastoma on November 17, 2006. The tumor is about 10 cm big - the size of a Hershey Bar. His cancer is stage 3. They can not do surgery on it at this time because of the size. The plan is to try and shrink the tumor to a size that it can be resected. He will have 3 days of treatment wait approximately 21 days and start the process again. Beau will have a total of 8 rounds of chemo treatments so this will be a lengthy process. He received his lst chemo treatment the day before Thanksgiving and is doing well. Hopefully, by the end of February the tumor will have shrunk enough and they will be able to operate. After the surgery, Beau will contine on with 4 more rounds of chemo. Jennifer has setup a status page so everyone can keep up with his progress. Jennifer works AT PCMH and her supervisor has agreed to work with her to allow her to continue to work whenever she can. But, we don't know how much she will be able to work during this time since her first priorty will of course be Beau. We all know that medical bills can mount up fast during a time like this and it's the last thing Parham and Jennifer needs to worry about. They need to focus totally on Beau. So many friends have indicated they would like to help. They have told Jen they know there is nothing they can do to make him better but they have indicated they wanted to help by making a monetary donation. So Jennifer's family decided to setup this webpage to provide a way for these friends to help our little buddy.
We have setup a savings account in Beau's name at Wachovia Bank here in Greenville, NC. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to the Stanley family can write a check made payable to Hugh Parham Stanley, III. Please mail checks to the following:
